About Laila

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Bethesda, Maryland. I have been in private practice since 2007. I specialize in providing therapy to children (elementary-school age), adolescents, adults, couples and families.

I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Spanish from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. My training and experience as a clinical social worker includes providing psychotherapy and social work services in community mental health, psychiatry clinics, public schools and hospital settings.

I am committed to continuing education and participate regularly in advanced training through clinical seminars and conferences related to psychotherapy treatment with children, adolescents and adults.

In therapy, I work with individuals who struggle with a variety of issues, ranging from ADHD to depression and psychosis. I believe that individuals should not be defined by a diagnosis, and that effective therapy involves gaining a three-dimensional understanding of the person and their environment.
